Louisiana delves into a hidden humanity in which the abysses of modern-day American gape wide open. Living in a place that is invisible to the rest of the world, on the margins of society, on the border between illegality and anarchy, is a community which is suffering, trying to react to the threat of being forgotten by the institutions and having their very rights as citizens trampled over. Retired war veterans, uncommunicative teens, drug addicts looking for a way out of their addiction through love, former special forces soldiers still battling against the world, young women and mothers-to-be drifting through life, an older generation which has not yet lost the will to live.

后半段才算纪录片（整体依旧是Docufiction），前半段像轻口味版早期哈莫尼·科林。整日吸毒无所事事的游民、被遗忘的老兵、跳脱衣舞的孕妇、怒火无处发泄的红脖军迷……这种精神空虚、物质匮乏，没有出口也没有未来的生活简直比恐怖片还要恐怖。然后，这片分级是PG，seriously?

控场能力惊人。以及导演作为一个意大利人，不知道前期花了多长时间才能做到摄像机与被拍摄的white lower class保持一个如此亲密的距离。敬佩。

1. 绝望。尤其在北京的雾霾天看。2. 这是奥巴马、希拉里这些精英看不到的美国另一面吧，但是被特朗普牢牢抓住的这类人吧，只是特朗普能够给你们的生活带来改变吗？其实被命运淘汰了，太指望政客本生就是奢谈。3.里面的人物活的卑微，无望，彼此支撑着发泄心中的委屈和怒火。

同样的套路第三世界已经耍过很多次了
